What are the features of the Mahila Udyogini Scheme?

  • Women can apply for loans upto Rs. 3 Lakhs under this scheme.
  • The Government provides a 30% subsidy on loans under this scheme.
  • The loan can be availed for engaging in business under 88 industries. Some examples are Canteen & Catering, Library, Papad making, Security service etc. 
  • If you are engaging in business under the agricultural sector, you can avail interest-free loans.
  • The scheme also provides training to women entrepreneurs for skill development.

What are the eligibility criteria for Udyogini Yojana?

  1. Udyogini Scheme Eligibility is only for women entrepreneurs between the ages of 18-55.
  2. Women entrepreneurs applying for a loan under this scheme should have a good credit history and should not have defaulted on any previous loans
  3. The family income of the woman should be less than Rs. 1.5 lakhs (this is not applicable in special situations such as in case of disabled women, widowed women etc.)

How to apply for the Mahila Udyogini Scheme?

Step 1 : Get a Udyogini Scheme form from the nearest bank. Or simply download the form from the bank’s official website.

Step 2 : Fill the form by adding all the relevant details

Step 3 : Attach all the required documents 

Step 4 : Submit the application form at the nearest branch of the bank you have chosen.

Step 5 : Wait for loan approval and processing.
