Subhadra Yojana is a welfare initiative by the government of Odisha aiming to empower women financially and socially. What is Subhadra Yojana?

Subhadra Yojana is a women-centric welfare scheme, aiming on empowering women aged 21 to 60 years by providing direct financial assistance. 

What are Subhadra Yojana Benefits & Features?

1. Subhadra Card

Beneficiaries will get a SUBHADRA card (ATM-cum-debit card) for enhanced identity and empowerment.

2. Financial Support

Beneficiaries will receive total benefit of ₹50,000 distributed over 5 years (Annual benefit: ₹10,000 from 2024-25 to 2028-29.)

3.Digital Transactions Incentive

The top 100 women from each Gram Panchayat or Urban Local Body with the highest annual digital transaction count will receive an additional ₹500 as an incentive.

4. Budget Allocation

₹55,825 crore allocated for the scheme.

What is the Subhadra Yojana Eligibility?

1. Residency

Only women residing in Odisha are eligible

2. Economic status

Belonging to economically weaker sections, whose family income should be ₹2.5 lakh or less per year.

3. Age

Women aged 21 to 60 years Eligibility Criteria

4. Employment Status

Applicants must not be employed in the government sector.

5. Scheme Limitation

Only one woman per family can benefit from this scheme.

6. Special Cases

Anganwadi and Asha workers are eligible, however, if their spouse works in the government sector, then they are not eligible.

How to apply for Subhadra Yojana?

The applications may be made offline through a printed form from the local Anganwadi Centres, Block Offices, Urban Local Body Offices, Mo Seba Kendras, Common Service Centres, etc., as well as online through the Subhadra official portal.

Following is the offline process:

1. Collect the application form from local Anganwadi Centres, Block Offices, Urban Local Body Offices, Mo Seba Kendras, or Common Service Centres.

2. Fill in the mandatory fields, paste a passport-sized photograph, and attach self-attested copies of required documents.

3. Submit the completed application form with documents at the nearest Mo Seba Kendra or Common Service Centre.

4. Request a receipt or acknowledgment containing submission details like date, time, and a unique identification number, if applicable.

What are the Documents Required?

1. Aadhaar Card.

2. A mobile number linked to Aadhaar

3. Copy of Bank Account Details [single-holder Aadhaar-enabled and DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer)-enabled)]
