UPI Safety Tips Every Woman Should Know :

Because your financial independence deserves protection.

Common UPI Frauds Happening Right Now

Stay aware, not scared.

  1. Fake “Request Money” Links
This is one of the most common UPI scams today. The scammer sends you a request on your UPI app that looks like you’re about to receive money. But if you enter your UPI PIN, you actually send money to them.
Remember, you don’t need to enter your UPI PIN to receive money. If a payment is genuine, it will automatically appear in your account and no PIN is required.
  2. Online Scam Alert: Fake Customer Care Numbers
Searching for a helpline on Google can be risky because many scammers run fake ads that look like real bank numbers.Only use customer care numbers from your official bank/UPI app or your bank’s website.
  3. Job, Cashback or Reward Messages
Messages like “You’ve won cashback!” or “Earn money by doing a small task” often come with links or requests to enter your UPI details. The moment you enter your PIN,your money gets deducted.
Please remember real cashback from trusted apps happens automatically, without clicking links or sharing details.
  4. Screen Sharing Fraud
In this scam, someone pretends to “help you solve a transaction issue” and asks you to install apps like AnyDesk, TeamViewer, or QuickSupport. These apps allow the other person to see your screen and control your phone remotely. Once they have access, they can view your UPI PIN, passwords, and even transfer money without your awareness.

Remember : No genuine bank or support person will ever need to see your screen.
